Curriculum
KIMBERLY MONZON, Applauded for her rich and
radiant vocal color, Kimberly Monzon has been
delighting audiences in opera houses and concert
halls, throughout the country, with vibrant
portrayals of leading heroines. Roles to her
credit include Susanna in “Le nozze di Figaro”;
Magda in “La Rondine”; Tytania in “A Midsummer
Night’s Dream”; Lucy in “A Room With A View”;
Servilia in “La clemenza di Tito”; Echo in
“Ariadne auf Naxos”; Erste Frau in
“Die Zauberfloete”; and Johanna in “Sweeney Todd”.
She has sung with Columbus Opera, Des Moines Metro
Opera, Opera Idaho, Pensacola Opera, and Opera
Project Columbus.
CARLOS MONZON, Heralded for his masculine and
charismatic interpretations of leading men,
Mexican
bass-baritone Carlos Monzon has been charmiong
audiences throughout the United States. He has
performed with Florida Grand Opera, Kentucky
Opera, Wolf Trap Opera, Opera Columbus, the Merola
Opera Program, and many others. Recent concert
performances as a soloist include “Cantata Suenos”
in Seattle; “Song of the Shadows” and Handel’s
“Messiah”, in Dallas, and Haydn’s “The Creation”
in Kalamazoo. Carlos is delighted to make his
European debut alongside his beautiful wife.
JEFFREY PETERSON, Pianist and vocal coach Jeffrey
Peterson, has appeared in concerts on five
continents, with stars of the Metropolitan Opera,
as well as numerous instrumentalists and singers.
His performances have taken him to halls in Paris,
Bologna, Venice, Florence, and throughout the
United States, including Weill Hall at Carnegie
Hall, in New York City. He received his doctorate
from the University of Illinois, where he was the
assistant to
renowned pianist and coach John Wustman, pianist
for many of the world’s greatest singers. He is
the founder and director emeritus of “Music in the
Marche”, a summer study program for aspiring young
American singers, in Mondavio. He is currently an
Associate Professor of Vocal Coaching at Baylor
University, in Waco, Texas.
