Curriculum
Stipe Prskalo was born in Croatia in 2003 and is
currently studying at the Music Academy in Zagreb
in the class of Prof. Ruben Dalibaltayan.
The young pianist has attended numerous
masterclasses with Natalia Trull, Pavel Gililov,
Grigory Gruzman, Milana Chernyavska, Julia
Gubaidulina, Andrey Pisarev, Irina Osipova, Karina
Ohanyan, and Dalibor Cikojevic. Furthermore, he is
a scholarship holder of the International Music
Academy in Liechtenstein and takes part regularly
in the intensive weeks and activities of the
Academy. He attends the „Accademia del
Ridotto“ in Stradella where he studies with
Prof. Natalia Trull.
Stipe is the winner of the 29th International
Piano Competition „Giulio Rospigliosi“ –
Robert Schumann Award, where he was also given the
Audience Prize. He has won first prizes at several
other national and international piano
competitions, including the“Croatian National
Piano Competition”, and international piano
competitions „Memorial Jurica Murai”, „Janez
Maticic”, and „EPTA International Competition
for Young Pianists” where he was also awarded a
special prize for the best interpretation of a
composition by Johann Sebastian Bach. He performed
at numerous festivals such as the 15th
International Festival „Musica Maxima“,
„Piano Loop Festival“, „Virtuoso“ and
„Beethoven International Piano Marathon 2020“.
He has also been an active chamber musician with
multiple achievements as a member of the piano
trio, piano quartet, and piano quintet. His
chamber ensembles won first prize at the
“Croatian National Chamber Music Competition”
in 2015, 2016, and 2022.
Stipe collaborated as a soloist with conductor
Dariusz Mikulski and Orchestra Città di Grosseto
in playing Liszt’s Piano Concerto No. 1 as well as
with the Zagreb Soloists Chamber Orchestra. He
holds the Scholarship for Excellence, given by the
University of Zagreb. In 2015 and 2023 he was
awarded for his artistic achievements by the
Croatian Ministry of Science and Education.
